Cautious lysine buying drags down prices in China
Lysine prices dipped further during the week ending April 25.
The demand for lysine weakened as China’s feed millers were more reluctant to stock lysine while the disease situation in China remained severe.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB11.80-12.10/kg.
Although hog prices show signs of stabilising in several regions, feed millers will continue to stay cautious with feed ingredients purchases.
