Hypor appoints Jason Zhu as General Manager, China

Jason Zhu is appointed as General Manager for Hypor in China, effective March 1, as the company plans to further develop its team in China and build new partnerships in 2012. 
 
Zhu, 53, brings with him vast experience in the pig industry and understanding of the pig industries and business models in both western countries and China. In 1995 he joined Agriteam Canada Consulting Ltd. as Marketing Specialist and Project Field Manager for six years. In the following five years, he worked for Hypor Canada, first as Sales Manager and later as Country Manager China.
 

The Chinese pig industry is experiencing a significant shift, from traditional backyard operations to the modern large-scale operations. In the next 5-10 years, pig production in China will continually consolidate. The small household based productions will decrease while large and medium-scale operations will increase further and replace traditional small-scale operations.
