China's live pig exports increase in first two months

 

 

China exported a total of 249,900 live pigs in the first two months of 2008, valued at US$51.9855 million, increasing by 13.18 percent and 54.97 percent on-year respectively, the Ministry of Agriculture said.

 

China's live pig shipments were mostly bound to Hong Kong and Macao.

 

Huge export volume came from Guangdong, Henan, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei and Zhejiang provinces.
