South Africa's 2006/07 corn and wheat imports climb

South Africa's yellow corn imports since May last year rose by 48,629 tonnes last week to 862,832 tonnes, the South African Grain Information Service (SAGIS) showed in its weekly report.

Corn exports rose by 10,511 tonnes to 532,646 tonnes.

Wheat imports since October last year rose by 8,448 tonnes to 253,868 tonnes last week, SAGIS showed in its weekly report.

Exports rose by 4,899 tonnes to 116,669 tonnes.
