Taiwan Sugar Corp buys US corn, soybean in tender
Taiwan Sugar Corp has bought 23,000 tonnes of corn and 12,000 tonnes of soybean, both of US origin, from trading house Agrex at a tender concluded Tuesday (Apr 24), a trader in Taipei said.
It bought 13,000 tonnes of corn at US$224.98/tonne and 10,000 tonnes at a premium of 204.97 US cents a bushel to the Chicago Board of Trade's July contract.
Agrex will supply 12,000 tonnes of soybean at a premium of 204 US cents/bushel to the CBOT July contract.
The shipment is expected to arrive in Taiwan May 22-June 5 if shipped from the US Gulf, or June 6-24 if shipped from the Pacific Northwest.
