Corn exports exceed USDA expectations
US corn exports continue to exceed USDA expectations as exports reached 902,100 tonnes (35.5 million bushels) for the week ending Apr 13.
Actual sales reached 1.1 million tonnes (43.4 million bushels), an increase of 35 percent compared to the previous week.
Export commitments are 10 percent higher than the same week last year. Corn sales for the 2005/06 marketing year are approximately 143 million bushels higher then they were at this time last year.
According to the USDA, South Korea, Mexico and Indonesia were the big buyers this week.
