Two new appointments in Fonterra

Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited has announced changes to the roles and responsibilities of two members in the Fonterra Management Team.
Jacqueline Chow, the current managing director for global brands and nutrition, will be assuming the newly created role of chief operating officer for Velocity, effective from June 1, 2015. She will work alongside the management team to accelerate performance across the Co-operative.
"In her new role, Chow will lead the next stage in Fonterra's evolution, working across the entire Co-operative to push forward the Velocity part of our V3 strategy and deliver the best possible performance," said Fonterra's chief executive, Theo Spierings.
With Chow's appointment, a senior executive in the Global Brands and Nutrition team, René Dedoncker, will join the Fonterra Management Team as acting managing director for Global Brands and Nutrition, with effect from June 1, 2015.
Another appointee, Johan Priem, Fonterra's president for Greater China, will take on the additional role of managing director for Asia, Middle East and Africa on August 1, 2015.
According to Spierings, Priem's previous senior leadership positions in the region makes him suitable for the role.
