Demand for pork continued to be weak, dragging hog prices down while sales of pork carcass in major whole centres shrank by 0.60% over the week to 9,612 tonnes. Provinces such as Anhui and Sichuan launched the local programmes to support the hog market but the measures have not shown any results.
