China Piglet Weekly: Weak demand holds prices flat (week ended Apr 23, 2014)
Disappointed with the government's support programme, which failed to lift the prices of hog, farmers were reluctant to expand inventories while losses remained high. As most small farms kept pig pens empty, weak demand for piglet held prices soft during the period in review.
