China asks traders to slow soy, rapeseed imports
Chinese companies should slow soy and rapeseed imports to avoid risks associated with large inventories, the Ministry of Commerce said Friday (Apr 24).
"Importers should closely watch the market tendency...to avoid losses caused by excessive imports," the ministry's foreign trade department said in a statement published on its website.
It said imported edible oil and oilseeds stocks at Chinese ports are too high due to heavy imports between January and April.
