Brazil keen to penetrate Indonesian beef market amid protests
Brazil is optimistic to penetrate the Indonesian beef market despite some resistance.
Around 2,000 farms Brazil's Sao Paulo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Mato Grosso, and Minas Gerais offered to export beef to Indonesian markets.
Brazilian ambassador to Indonesia, Edmundo Sussumu Fujita, stated that Brazil's cattle meat was of high quality, although the mouth-and-foot disease was still taking place in some other states.
The ambassador added that Brazil could sell its products at cheaper prices than its competitors, such as Australia and New Zealand.
Brazil is ready to meet any demand made by Indonesia, Fujita said.
