Ukraine removes restrictions on grain exports

The Ukrainian government Wednesday (April 23, 2008) removed all restrictions on the export of grain, Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko was quoted as saying by the government press service.

Timoshenko said the move was because there was only a short time left before harvesting began and that there were sufficient grain reserves to last until the new grain became available.
