CP and China's Hebei sign strategic cooperation agreement
Thai agribusiness conglomerate Charoen Pokphand (CP) and Hebei's provincial government signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Monday (Apr 21).
Under this agreement, CP will set up an integrated broiler plant with an annual slaughter capacity of 100 million live birds.
The company will also be building a layer farm capable of supplying 3 million layers per year, as well as a one-million-head per year hog production plant.
CP will also be venturing into aquaculture in Hebei province, according to the agreement.
