Perutnina Ptuj opens US$32 million poultry facility
Slovenia's leading poultry producer Perutnina Ptuj opened a EUR 20 million (US$32 million) poultry processing facility in central Bosnia on Wednesday, according to the government of Bosnia¡¯s Muslim-Croat Federation.
The facility is located in Breza near the capital Sarajevo and it would have an annual output of 7,000 tonnes of poultry products. Domestic raw materials would be used, and the facility would supply the Bosnian market and member countries of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA).
CEFTA member countries include Bosnia, Albania, Croatia, Moldova, Serbia, Kosovo and Macedonia, with a common market of about 29 million people.
