US Biomin appoints new technical director
Biomin has appointed this month Ralph Stonerock as its new technical director for its Poultry division in the US.
Stonerock obtained his BS degree in Agriculture Education and Poultry Science from The Ohio State University and later on received an M.Science degree in Poultry Nutrition, Management and Physiology from the University of Florida.

With experience managing a broiler complex from growing out to processing, he had also operated four layer farms, contracted pullet growing, operated two egg-processing plants and also marketed eggs. Once a production superintendent for a feed manufacturing facility that produced over 150,000 tonnes of feed annually, he had worked as a service and technical manager overseeing two million layers and one million pullets.
Stonerock was also previously employed as a nutritionist and technical service provider for 44 million laying hens, 12 million turkeys, 30 million broilers and three million ducks; he had since published scientific papers involving poultry physiology, nutrition and management.
Now the former president of the Ohio Poultry Association is also the chairperson of the International Committee for Poultry Science, vice-president of the Southern Poultry Science Association, vice-president of the American Poultry Historical Society and co-founder of the Poultry Health School.
Stonerock's experience has extended beyond the US; the newly appointed technical director had also served as an advisor for poultry production in Kosovo and Russia. |
