China's March Soybean Imports Totaled 1.59 Million MT
 

According to China's General Administration of Customs, China imported a total of 1,592,375 metric tons of soybeans in March 2004, down by 15% versus the same period last year. The bulk of the imports, 1,520,114 tons were from the United States with 70,909 tons from Brazil.

From January to March, China imported a total of 5,413,346 tons of soybeans, registering a year-on-year increase of 39%.
