Syngenta's Q1 seeds sales double to US$100 million

 

 

In January-March 2012, Switzerland's Syngenta has doubled seeds sales to US$100 million on year, reads a statement made by the company.

 

In general, integrated seeds sales rose 11% or US$0.12 billion to US$1.225 billion, sales of crop protection means by 7% or US$0.19 billion to US$2.861 billion.

 

Corn is first in terms of sales volume.

 

Syngenta opened its office in Ukraine in 2001. It has employed more than 26,000 staff in 90 countries.

 

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Syngenta AG was founded in November 2000 as a result of merger of two major world companies distributing plant protection means: Switzerland's Novartis and UK's Zeneca.
