Epidemic outbreak affects Mekong Delta's shrimp cultivation

Spreading across the Mekong Delta are disease outbreaks affecting the shrimp cultivation area.

Tra Vinh Province this year started shrimp crops on 19,300 hectares but disease has destroyed 3,350 hectares with an estimated loss of VND300 billion (US$14.4 million).

Ca Mau Province reported local farmers have lost over 5.800 hectares, according to Lao Dong.
