Kuwait lifts US poultry meat, meat products ban

Entry of US poultry meats and their derivatives are now allowed into Kuwait as it issued Ministerial Decree # 36/2012, immediately lifting the ban on imports of US poultry meat, of all types and table eggs.

This decree reverses decree 243/2011, dated June 10, 2011, that was issued instituting a ban on all US poultry imports, except heat treated products, as a result of the detection of Low Pathogenic Avian Iinfluenza in the states of Missouri and Minnesota.
