Ukrainian farm reports a drop in 2009 profit by US$0.49 million
The Koziatyn poultry farm in Vinnytsia, Ukraine ended 2009 with a loss of UAH 3.846 million (US$0.49 million), earning a total net revenue of UAH 138.653 million (US$17.52 million), according to its financial report.
From 2008 to 2009, the poultry farm, which has 95.037% shares owned by the OSI International Holding GmbH in Germany, trimmed its net income by 9.9% or UAH 15.279 million (US$1.93 million).
As reported in the local news, the previous year, the Koziatyn poultry farm reduced output by 23.1% - from UAH 6,908 (US$872.77) in 2008 to UAH 2,072 (US$261.78) in 2009. The enterprise finished 2008 at a loss of UAH 11.134 million (US$1.41 million).
Founded in 1926, the Koziatyn poultry farm is an open joint-stock enterprise that engages in meat processing and production of beef, pork, sausages and semi-finished meat.
