Kazakhstan plans grain transport system to Iran
Kazakhstan looks on the possibility of building a grain transport infrastructure to Iran, Rahmin Mahmanparast, the Iranian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, said.
The ambassador said that the Mangistau oblast region of Kazakhstan is one of the key areas for global grain trading.
The Iranian government proposed to contribute to the range of projects in Mangistau oblast, with joint navigation being one of them.
Iran will also develop its port infrastructure, Mahmanparast said.
An agreement was already signed declaring the Kazakhstan Port of Actau and Iranian ports as areas for development.
