Methionine price increase announcement by Sumitomo Chemical

Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, announces today that the price of DL-Methionine dl-methionine 99% feed grade will increase to USD 2.90/kg in China and Asia Pacific regions; EUR 2.35/kg in Europe, due to continual high costs of the raw materials, e.g., Naphtha, Methanol and others reflecting the resurging crude oil prices, as well as high energy and transportation costs.  

In line with the above, the price of Liquid Methionine Analog 88% feed grade will be also adjusted accordingly.  This price revision is effective immediately.

All prior agreements and commitments will be honored.
