Argentina's 2006/07 wheat sales unchanged at 8.8 million tonnes

 

 

Argentina's 2006/07 wheat sales totalled 8.805 million tonnes as of April 20, unchanged from five weeks ago, according to the Agriculture Secretariat's latest data.

 

By this time last year Argentina had sold 5.83 million tonnes of 2005/06 wheat.

 

In March, the government closed the registry for new wheat exports in the face of soaring export declarations.

 

The Secretariat provided the following information for 2006/07 and 2005/06 wheat sales in thousands of tonnes by destination.
