Biotech Philippines launches Envirocair® and MozziMort®

Biotech Philippines, a subsidiary of British chemical firm Biotech International, has introduced EnviroCair® and Mozzimort®, two new products geared towards animal health and sanitation.

Envirocair is a multi-platform biocidal disinfectant against pathogens which can eliminate airborne and surface bacteria and viruses, including MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) and H5N1 bird flu virus. Being HACCP-certified, Envirocair is recommended for any workplace, public health, transport, livestock and veterinary sectors, particularly in the hog sector.

Envirocair works as it is constantly dispensed into the atmosphere by blowing air across a saturated wick and can be intensively distributed by fogging machine. It remains active for up to 14 days on any surface where it is deposited. EnviroCair will make its debut presentation on the 17th National Hog Convention in Cebu this month.

MozziMort is a water-based polymer coating long established and effective insecticide which can reduce risk of mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue fever. This can be applied in existing substrate including painted walls and recommended for use in hospitals, schools, government buildings, domestic and commercial properties. MozziMort also contains Envirocair to give additional antimicrobial properties and non-toxic to mammals.

Chito San Agustin, president of Biotech Philippines states that the Philippine promotion is the hub of introducing these two new products in Asia. Other launching events will be done in Thailand and Taiwan and other parts of the region this year.

The event, which took place at the New World Renaissance Hotel on April 18, was graced by the British Ambassador to the Philippines Peter Beckingham and Biotech International President John Coombs and representatives from the World Health Organization and the Philippine Department of Health.
