India removes benefits for dairy products exporters
The Indian government withdrew incentives to exports of dairy products to increase domestic milk supply and to control inflation.
Benefits provided under Vishesh Krishi and Gram Udyog Yojana, focus market scheme and duty entitlement passbook rates have been removed for export of SMP, casein and other milk products, according to a statement from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
The withdrawal of incentives for dairy products will be effective immediately.
