Testing for banned Bt10 corn to begin soon
Swiss biotech firm, Syngenta, has announced support for the EU's plan to require shipments of US corn gluten to be tested and certified free of the banned Bt10 corn variety. The plan is expected to come into effect in a few days at US ports of departure.
Mike Mack, chief operating officer of Syngenta, said the company is committed to continuing cooperation with all concerned parties and maintaining customer confidence by abiding with existing regulations.
