Thai Pork Prices To Fall By Bt5-10/Kg
Following cuts in farm prices, the retail price of pork will be reduced by between 5 and 10 baht to 100 baht a kilogram from tomorrow.
According to the Internal Trade Department, the price of live swine will be reduced to 52 baht a kilogram from between 55 and 57 baht,
Pork prices have risen sharply since local consumers began to shun chicken with the onset of the bird flu outbreak.
But prices of animal feed by pig raisers have begun to stabilize, allowing farm prices to fall.
