China's Local Lysine Producers Adjust Prices Downward (April 22, 2004)

An eFeedLink Exclusive Report

According to trade participants, some local lysine producers in China have adjusted downward their ex-factory prices on Wednesday, April 21.

The current selling prices of lysine by two local producers to traders and major feed millers in China have already dropped to the RMB25.0/kg level, down by RMB2.0-3.0/kg compared with prices early in the week.

With the falling market prices and the downward adjustment of offer prices by local producers, the selling prices of some imported lysine products in China, whose price quotes have stayed on a high level until early this week, have also shown signs of weakening. The selling prices of these imported lysine products have on Wednesday trailed the ongoing market prices in China.
