India's 2009-10 oilseed output may rise to 36.5 million tonnes

India's oilseed production in the marketing year beginning Oct. 1 may rise 6.7 percent on year to around 36.5 million tonnes, the US Department of Agriculture said in a report e-mailed Tuesday (April 21).

Edible oil imports for 2009-10 may fall 12 percent on year to 6 million tonnes as a result of the higher output, the report said.
