Icicle Seafoods, a seafood company based in Alaska, has announced the appointment of Dennis Guhlke as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as of July 1.

Icicle's long-time CEO, Don Giles, will retire on June 30 and will serve as an adviser to the company for three years on various projects.

Guhlke is the seafood processing company's chief financial officer (CFO) for at least a decade. He will be succeeded by Brenda Morris, who was the CFO and chief operating officer of online retailer iFloor.

In the past year, Icicle has acquired Smoki Foods and the processing vessel Stellar Sea.

The company's majority owner is equity capital firm Paine & Partners.
