Ukraine's grain inventories take a downturn
As of April 1, Ukraine's agricultural enterprises dealing with grain storage and processing kept 184,900 tonnes of grains, marking an on-year decrease of 60.8%.
Wheat supplies in Ukraine totalled 102,001 tonnes (down 73.1%), corn supplies totalled 14,800 tonnes (down 27%), and barley supplies totalled 51,800 tonnes (up 12.2%).
Grain enterprises stocked 94,000 tonnes of grains from the general volumes of grain carry-over stocks in Ukraine, including 36,800 tonnes of wheat, 28,700 tonnes of barley and 14,700 tonnes of corn. Granaries and grain processing enterprises stocked 90,900 tonnes of grains.
The general sunflower seed stocks in Ukraine totaled 4,300 tonnes, a decrease of 64.7% compared to April 1, 2009.
