Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes US corn in tender

 

 

Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group (MFIG) has bought 60,000 tonnes of US corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded on Tuesday (Apr 18), a trader in Taipei said.

 

While 11,640 tonnes of corn will be supplied at US$141.29 a tonne, the remaining 48,360 tonnes will be supplied at a premium of 111.39 US cents a bushel above the CBOT July contract.

 

The corn will arrive in Taiwan between May 23-Jun 4 if it is shipped from US Gulf or it will arrive in Taiwan between Jun 7-19 if its shipped from the Pacific Northwest.
