Export contracts boost China's corn prices

China's corn prices were higher in March, boosted by an increase in the number of export contracts signed. Market sentiments were also lifted when the National Development and Reform Commission issued a directive that set an export quota, as well as the promise of financial assistance. Analysts expect the domestic corn market to continue showing better price performance.

This 2-page report includes:

    1.            Release of first export quota

    2.            Active corn procurement in north-eastern regions

    3.            Auctions in Beijing and Jilin
