Dongguan's slaughterhouse to meet international standardsfor waste materialstreatments by end of 2015

 
 

According to information released by the Dongguan City Bureau of Agriculture, Dongguan city, Guangdong province,will be constructing a designated slaughterhouse with modernized wastewater treatment station and greenhouse gases treatment plant, so as to reduce the level of pollutants to meet second-class national standard and noise pollution category I. The project is scheduled to run its pilot testingaround end of September, and be in operation officially by end of this year.

 

City Food Co., Ltd is the largest shareholder, holding 50% stakes, with companies in nearby four sub-districts, namely Wanjiang,Dongcheng,Guancheng and Nancheng, holding 12%, 18%, 10% and 10% stakes respectively.

 

Located in Wanjiang,the project costs a total investment of about RMB350 million and will be used to meet the meat demand of these four sub-districts. It is to be constructed over two phases with the first phase covering infrastructure construction, swine slaughterhouse and frozen meat processing facilities.
