International pig breeding company PIC has appointed Jason Zhu to the position of General Manager of PIC China.

Zhu brings more than 19 years of agribusiness experience in China and Canada, including 7 years as business management and marketing specialist of the China Canada Lean Swine Project.

Since 2002 he worked for Hypor in China, initially as Sales Manager and then Chief Representative. Zhu is a graduate of the Northwestern Agricultural University, Shaanxi and holds an MSc and MBA from the University of Saskatchewan.

Commenting on the appointment Andrew Bates, Managing Director of PIC Asia, said PIC has established a solid platform in China over the last 10 years and is now ready to take the business there to the next level. He added that he is confident Zhu's leadership would inspire customers, partners and the PIC team to ever greater achievements.

Jason said he is honoured to join PIC China, which he said was the most professional pig team in China. With the best pig genetics, solid technical support and a well-developed network, he is confident PIC China would grow to serve the China pig industry better.

PIC is an international pig breeding company with offices in more than 40 countries in the Americas, EU and Asia. It also provides technical advice to farms on maximizing the genetic potential of their pigs.
