UK milk production to hit its lowest in 2012-13
UK 2012-13 milk year has drawn to a close with its milk production reaching its lowest level since 2009-10.
Total wholesale milk deliveries (not butterfat adjusted) in the year to March 31, 2013 were pegged at 12.97 billion litres, down 3.6% from the 2011-12 season, according to provisional figures from the Rural Payments Agency (RPA).
Output in 2009-10 stood at 12.825 billion litres.
