Kazakhstan raises agricultural products production

 

 

From January-March 2011, the gross quantity of agricultural products (services) production in Kazakhstan amounted KZT175 billion (US$1.20 million), which was an increase of 1.8% as compared to the same time in 2010, said the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

Plant-cultivating commodities (services) output in January-March of 2011 hit a total of KZT3.65 billion (US$25.12 million).

 

According to the data of the agency, as of April 1, 2011, stocks of the major grains in the country reached a total of 7.37 million tonnes whereby wheat consisted of 6.73 million tonnes, rye made up 25,700 tonnes, and corn comprised of 19,600 tonnes.

 

Oilseeds inventories made up a volume of 200,000 tonnes, including 21,000 tonnes of soy and 20,700 tonnes of rapeseed.
