Indonesia May Halt Shrimp Imports
Indonesia's House of Representatives has asked the government to stop the import of shrimp to enable the domestic shrimp market to survive, deputy chairman of the House commission on agriculture and horticulture, H Imam Churmen, said here Thursday.
"We have urged the government to halt the import of shrimp because it has a significant impact on our domestic shrimp market," Imam said.
In his working visit here, the legislator expressed optimism that Lampung province's shrimp industry would be revived if it is managed well.
