Kazakhstan temporarily bans Russian, Belarusian Poultry due to salmonella
Triggered by health and safety grounds, Kazakhstan has temporarily restricted imports of Russian and Belarusian poultry.
"The ban took effect from March 28 and covered several Russian and Belarusian poultry exporters," Zhandarbek Bekshin, the chairman of the Agency for consumer rights protection and chief medical officer of Kazakhstan said.
He elaborated that an excess of water and salmonella, the dangerous bacteria, was found in shipments of Russian and Belarusian poultry to Kazakhstan.
