France applies "no GMO" label on meat and dairy products
The French National Consumers Council has taken on a label indicating that meat and dairy products have come from animals that were not fed GM feed.
The label "Nourri sans OGM" or "Fed without GMOs" was adopted following a meeting at the Ministry for Finances.
There was no previous evidence whether animals were reared on GM products.
The label will apply to meat and dairy products.
