Northern EU meat processor invests US$7.7 million
Northern European meat processor, Krekenavos Agrofirma, has US$7.7 million in a new fresh meat cutting and pre-packaging unit, according to official news reports.
The new unit which is co-financed by the EU is expected to increase the company's annual revenue by 70 million litas.
Krekenavos Agrofirma has posted 230 million litas in revenue for 2008. The company sells 70 percent of its fresh meat products in Lithuania and the other Baltic countries.
