Vietnam's food safety campaign to focus on seafood products

 

 

Vietnam's campaign to improve food safety is underway, with focus on aquatic products to ensure quarantine warranty and environmental security.

 

The campaign will be supported by various sectors of the food chain from primary producers to wholesalers and retailers, officials said.

 

Projects include education and information campaigns, building systems on food poisoning and food-related diseases control as well as analysing food poisoning threats.

 

Vietnam's campaign will also ensure food safety on farming, processing and storage of farm produce.

 

The government said that a recent survey has shown that people involved in production, trade and consumption of food well educated in food safety have increased six percent, seven percent and eight percent, respectively.
