South Korea Ranks 38th In Grain Output

South Korea dropped to 38th in output of grains worldwide in 2002 and was the 13th largest importer of agricultural products, according to the agriculture ministry Wednesday.

South Korea produced a total of 7.07 million metric tons of grains, down from 7.86 tons a year earlier, when it placed 36th, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said, citing a report by the United Nations agriculture body.
