Beijing Shunxin Agriculture Co Ltd's hog slaughter profit margin down 3 percent
                                    

             
Beijing Shunxin Agriculture Co Ltd, a major live hog slaughter firm in China, achieved net profits of RMB51.7 million from its slaughtering of 2.04 million pigs in 2008, with profit margin declining by 3 percent.

 

Last year, the company's total slaughtered hog quantity fell by 910,000 heads, which was an on-year decrease of 30.8 percent.

 

According to an annual report released on Friday (Apr 10), the company's operating revenue reached RMB5.18 billion last year, an on-year increase of 14.47 percent. Meanwhile, the company's total profits hit RMB300 million, which is 42.27 percent higher compared to the previous year while net profits enjoyed an on-year hike of 50.13 percent, reaching RMB220 million.
