Brazil exports 118,597 tonnes pork in Q1 2007
Brazil exported 118,597 tonnes of pork in Q1 2007, up 19.36 percent on-year, according to Brazilian pork exporter association Abipecs.
The shipments were worth US$220 million, up 24.68 percent compared with Q1 2006.
In March, Brazil exported 43,733 tonnes of pork worth US$79.6 million, up 19 percent and 18.3 percent respectively from February. Compared with March 2006, the export volume rose by 71.74 percent.
