China's March cotton imports reach 625,200 tonnes 

 

 

The cotton imports of China in March increased to 625,200 tonnes compared with 276,400 tonnes on-year, industry cotton website CNCotton reported Tuesday (Apr 10).

 

Imports rose 1.5% compared with February, the China National Cotton Reserves Corp.-owned website reported, citing data from the General Administration of Customs.

 

The country's January-March imports rose 84% to 1.57 million tonnes, it said.

 

China is the world's top cotton producer, consumer and importer.
