Avlita ships over 500,000 tonnes grains
In Q1 2012, the stevedoring company, Avlita, shipped 578,000 tonnes of grain cargoes (corn - 294,000 tonnes, wheat - 242,000 tonnes, barley - 41,000 tonnes).
In January-March of 2012, the stevedoring company Avlita (Ukraine) shipped 1.254 million tonnes of general and bulk cargoes, an increase of 74% or 534,500 tonnes compared to the same period in 2011, informed the press-center of JSC Stevedoring company Avlita.
Last quarter, Avlita provided the monthly volume of transshipment of general cargoes and grains at the level of over 400,000 tonnes, said Sergei Posokhov, Acting General Director of JSC Stevedoring company Avlita.
The general volume of grain cargoes shipment in 2011/12 MY totals 1.6 million tonnes, or 10% of the general export volumes of grains through the Ukrainian sea ports in the current marketing year.
