New electrical powered FOODCRAFT Leg Processor (Sanovo)

The FOODCRAFT Leg Processor with Leg Splitter, which was introduced more than 20 years ago, now has a new electrically powered version, giving customers a choice between the original hydraulic version and the new completely electronic machine.

The new electronic machines are controlled by an easily accessible, user-friendly touch screen panel. They come in various configurations and customers can choose how they would like the information to be arranged base on their needs. The touch screen is also available in several different languages.

The machines' efficient and reliable servotype motors enable users to adjust processing speeds individually or simultaneously.

Existing FOODCRAFT Leg Processor owners also have the option of converting their hydraulic Leg Processors to electronic, which will eliminates the chances of possible product contamination due to hydraulic oil. Customers are given greater flexibility and piping, associated pumps, motors and other associated parts can be removed. Without the hydraulic equipments, users save not only on space but also energy costs.

First to animal feed enzyme combination in granulate form in the market

Long shelf life

Cut down storage space and container requirements, simplifying feeding for users

Launch of Natuphos® 5000 Combi G for the US market

BASF introduced its new enzyme combination for poultry, based the developing concept of merging enzymes with organic acids in feed to promote the gut microflora in poultry.

The new product is a combination of BASF's Natugrain® TS and Natuphos® feed enzymes which help to improve the efficiency of feed conversion. Natugrain® TS (a combination of xylanase and glucanase) helps to maximise energy and nutrients from plant-based feed, aiding in the digestion of previously indigestible plant components (NSPs). Natuphos® (phytase) helps to reduce the use of inorganic phosphorus in feed by increasing the performance of phosphorus from plant-based feeds. Natuphos® 5000 Combi G is the first animal feed enzyme combination in granulate form on the market.

BASF managed to blend the enzymes 3-phytase, beta-xylanase and beta-glucanase into a stable formulation that is suitable for premixes and pelleting. The new enzyme granulate has a long shelf life, similar to other enzyme products from BASF.

Compared to using Natuphos® and Natugrain® TS separately, Natuphos® 5000 Combi G allows customers to simplify the feeding process by reducing the number of feed additives to be handled and dosed. Another benefit is the fewer containers of products, helping to reduce the space needed for storage. Less packaging materials used and lower transportation requirements also makes the product more environmentally-friendly.

Dinnissen brings Pegasus® Mixer and Pegasus® Vacuum Coater to Asia

Netherlands-based company Dinnissen Process Technology's Pegasus® Mixer, which can produce a wide Netherlands-based company Dinnissen Process Technology's Pegasus® Mixer, which can produce a wide variety of animal feed, pet food and aquafeed, has reached Asia.

With a unique twin-shaft mixing mechanism, the new Pegasus® Mixer from Dinnissen utilises the flow of air to swirl around powders, pellets and granules in order to mix them quickly (in 25-30 seconds) and very evenly effortlessly. The special dosing unit enables users to spray exactly the right amount of fluid into the mixer during this process so ensure maximum accuracy in the formula. Up to 18 functional fluids such as proteins, vitamins, minerals, fats and oils can be sprayed onto the powders, pellets or granules when they are tossed up in the air so that the product particles are evenly coated. High levels of accuracy are guaranteed; the dosing unit is capable of spraying amounts ranging from 0.01-2% per batch weight to extra high percentages of 30-220% per batch weight.

The Pegasus® Mixer's high efficiency and ease of cleaning, coupled with its versatility and optional complete automatic operation, makes it easy for users to produce different feeds quickly and hygienically, even if the recipes differ greatly.

The Pegasus® Vacuum Coater, a complementary product to the mixer, has also been introduced. The machine helps to add important functional values to each pellet in whatever qualities required at the finishing steps of the feed production by spraying them on homogeneously in multiple layers in a vacuum environment. It finishes the product by applying a strong protective coating around each pellet to prevent breaking, crumbling and loss of valuable ingredients. The process also helps the pellets to maintain its original shape and allows users to finish their product with an attractive colour or shiny coating.

The Pegasus® Mixer and the Pegasus® Vacuum Coater come in relatively small sizes that do not take up a lot of pace. For customers whose products must as sterile as possible, Dinnissen offers a range of hygienic custom options for the Pegasus® Vacuum Coater, such as hot air treatment and CIP cleaning.

Higher capacity than predecessors

New vacuum system uses less energy and holds eggs better

More layout variations possible due to flexible configurations and compact size

Sanovo introduces a new generation of OptiLoaders

Sanovo launched a new addition to its OptiLoader family with the OptiLoader PLUS, which combines all the successful features of the current OptiLoader products plus other new features.

The OptiLoader PLUS has a higher capacity compared to its predecessors, and its new stack in-feed system, which is based on a dual speed belt in-feed, guarantees the most accurate alignment in the de-stacker module.

The new machine has a revamped retaining system for stuck eggs and an updated vacuum system with better suction to hold the eggs and uses less energy. Empty trays are better handled with the new empty tray stack handling system that promises to be more stable and gentle. The company has also introduced a new CIP recycling system and optimised the drive system.

Users are also given the ability to arrange the equipment in more layout variations due to flexible configurations and compact size. All these new features help to increase process efficiency. A synchronised speed between the eggs in the suction cups and the spools on the roller in-feed conveyor is maintained with the special swing arm construction.

These new additional features are available on the 12 and 18 row OptiLoaders.

The grading industry can also get the loader in Combi versions (In-line / Off-line). The combi versions provide customers with the option to operate with a number of rows on the in-feed table to be filled from the accumulator and the rest by the loader.
