CTB forms business unit to provide pig equipments worldwide

Indiana-based CTB, Inc., has formed PigTek, a pig equipment group business unit that will cater to project and equipment needs of the pig industry in the US and around the world.
 

Headquartered in Milford, Indiana, the unit will also have a facility operating in Germany and another one in the Netherlands.

In late-2006, CTB acquired pig equipment manufacturers Laake GmbH of Langen, Germany, and Porcon Beheer B.V. of Deurne, the Netherlands.

The new unit will coordinate product development, manufacturing and sales for CTB's Laake, Porcon and Chore-Time pig equipment brands, said PigTek's managing director George Murdoch.

Murdoch commented in a news release that consolidating those pig equipment brands and expertise under one unit would allow CTB to immediately provide a wide range of products and services to pig producers worldwide.

PigTek would continue to develop its global image and product portfolio through internal development and external growth, added Murdoch.
