India's poultry feed prices to rise on high input costs
 

 

India's poultry feed products are set to become more expensive in the coming weeks, after a continuous uptrend in prices of key ingredients in the last few days.

 

Despite an uptrend in prices of a few of its key ingredients, poultry-feed prices stayed unchanged this week, Aditya Mishra, a commodity expert said. Prices may increase by INR300-500 a tonne (US$5-8), he added.

 

In the physical market, soymeal moved up by INR200 (US$3.30) and sold at INR40,200 (US$668) a tonne, while bajra eased by INR300 (US$5) and sold at INR13,400 (US$223) a quintal. Di-calcium phosphate went up by INR0.10 (US$0.002) and was sold at INR36.70 (US$0.61) a kilogramme while corn improved by INR10 (US$0.17) and sold at INR1,540 (US$25.60) a quintal. Dry-rolled barley (DRB) improved by INR200(US$3.30) and sold for INR9,000 (US$150), rice bran oil ruled flat at INR55 (US$0.91) a kilogramme, meat and bone meal (MBM) was at INR44 (US$0.73) while mustard de-oiled cake was at INR15,600 (US$259) a tonne.

 

Pre-lay mash sold at INR1,100 (US$18.30); layer concentrate 25% was at INR1,520 (US$25) while layer concentrate 35% was at INR1,200 (US$19.90). Broiler concentrate was quoted at INR2,115 (US$35) for a 50-kilogramme bag.
